The Unexpected Comeback of the Glamelia
When I first started my floral journey back in 2014, I absorbed every bit of floral education I could find — online videos, workshops, tutorials. I was endlessly intellectually curious and eager to practice new techniques, even those that seemed old-fashioned.
I tried to find a photo of my very first glamelia from 2014, but it seems lost in my archives - living only in my memory now.
One of them was the glamelia — a rose-like composite flower created entirely from individual petals. I would spend my free time in the flower shop carefully assembling them, not knowing if this skill would ever be useful.
Fast forward to November 2023: I was part of a large-scale event where the table arrangements incorporated glamelia-style floral designs as part of their centerpiece compositions. We created dozens of these blooms, each one adding an elegant, sculptural touch to the tablescapes.
