Let’s Talk Real Wedding Budget
As a floral designer, I truly believe beauty is possible with any budget, but it’s important to stay realistic about what different budgets can actually include. Katsiaryna Asipik
Recently, I received an inquiry from a couple with a $5,000 floral budget. Their inspiration included a full floral arch, aisle flowers, ten round tables with tall centerpieces, and a fully styled long table.
The reality? A setup like that involves more than just flowers. It requires design time, a team for setup and breakdown, logistics, and sometimes repurposing between the ceremony and reception. And that adds up quickly, especially for full-service floral work.
So, what can $5,000 actually cover?
With thoughtful planning, it can include:
• A simplified ceremony arch
• Low floral arrangements for guest tables
• Some styling for a long table (candles, greenery, light florals)
• Setup and breakdown by a small team
It likely won’t stretch to cover lush aisle flowers, tall centerpieces on every table, or large-scale repurposing.
This isn’t about saying no — it’s about creating something beautiful within the real possibilities of your budget. If florals are important to you, I’m always happy to guide you through the options that work, honestly and intentionally.
